Background:
I purchased this car in Dec 2018 with 46k miles in San Diego with hopes of taking it outdoors with my growing family. Since then, we’ve only put about 42k miles on it in almost 7 years and it’s primarily been used as a commuter with less than a handful of trips. No doubt it’s a very capable and fun car to drive but I don’t feel I’ve used it as much as we had hoped and spend more time in my minivan to haul the family around, which is why it’s come time to sell. The few times I’ve wanted it, the Subaru AWD system is incredible and gives the driver a huge sense of confidence and safety. The turbo packs a punch for it’s size and the different sport modes, especially the S# mode, makes the car feel very quick and exhilarating when paired with the “manual” mode and paddle shifters. It’s a really versatile car with enough space to be a great commuter/grocery getter that can be turned into an overland rig or tuned to be a track sports car. Ultimately, I’ll really miss this car but hope that someone else can maximize its potential and take it everywhere you want to be.
Details:
Clean CA title and just paid registration 10/2025. Not salvage. No history of accidents. I am the 3rd owner. Non-smoker.
Full synthetic oil changes every 3000-5000 miles, or between 3-6 months. Premium gas only.
Maintained at RallySport Engineering in Costa Mesa which is an amazing Subaru specialist that knows this car intimately. Larger maintenance tasks done and other items of note:
• 2/2025: New Interstate AGM battery from Costco in February
• 6/2024: Replaced CVT valve body and changed fluid. Common to have a leak because of a worn solenoid but I chose to replace the whole unit which should help the CVT last until 200k+ - $2,200
• 7/2022: 60k service and changed diff/gear oil, gaskets, brakes, brake fluid, spark plugs, bushings, and did alignment along with maintenance for the front timing chain cover
Mods:
Black Powdercoated Wheels done by previous owner. I love the black and white look. Chrome trim has vinyl coverings which are a bit worn but can be replaced. Exterior isn’t perfect with some scuffs and scratches but there are no dents or history of accidents. Interior has full Husky all-weather floor liners and I also have the Subaru branded all weather mats and carpet mats that can be included with sale, along with the full trunk all-weather cargo mat.
Extra Optioned Safety Features Include: Vehicle Detection package that includes Blind Spot Detection, Lane Change Assist and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. The stereo cameras of Eyesight also double up as the eyes for Adaptive Driving Beam. Pre-Collision Braking System. Pre-Collision Throttle Management. Adaptive Cruise Control. Lane Departure and Sway Warning.
