approx. $35,000 in restoration, with lots of receipts.
Only item not working that I know of is the speedo, all other gages work including the clock.
In closing what I know about the car, it originally was white, it was purchase as a gift for a retiring California executive by his company and painted red his favorite color, that was approx. 25 years or so ago in California. I purchase the car from a classic car dealer in Nevada that was selling the car for the estate by the wife.
(Some background) it was a running driving car that did not need restoring but as this is the 5th 2 seater tbird I've owned through the years I wanted to bring it up to the cosmetic, mechanical & reliable condition that would make me happy. I’ve owned 3, 1956 tbirds and 2, 1957 tbirds also 2 ,1960 thunderbird convertibles and 1, 1958 thunderbird hard top. I turn 84 this year and currently own 5 various vehicles so it’s time to start selling them off as grandkids are not interested in caring for them or owning them.
