This 2001 Chevy Express 2500 cargo van was purchased brand new by an Arizona school district and used in their fleet maintenance program its entire life until about two months ago, when they upgraded to a newer model. Powered by a 5.0L V8 with only 113,000 original miles, the engine runs great, and the transmission shifts smoothly. Very solid and dependable for a 25-year-old work van.
The van has a dent in the front bumper, and there are a few small areas with paint peeling from the Arizona sun, which is expected for its age. Tires are in good condition. Inside, it comes equipped with a heavy-duty security divider and shelving, and the latter rack, which is inside the van, is still in excellent condition. Mechanically, everything checks out:
The engine runs strong. Transmission shifts smoothly, Cold A/C, all lights and radio work properly
The Amber overhead light works perfectly. It has a clean one-owner Arizona title, a current California smog certificate, and all necessary paperwork to register the van in California. (Exempt plates will be removed at the time of sale.)
