*Experienced in loading, transporting, and unloading heavy asphalt paving equipment to and from job sites.
*Inspect SUPER 10 DUMP TRUCKS for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
*Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
*Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
*Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
*Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
*Collect and verify delivery instructions
*Written report defects, accidents or violations submitted and addressed to office management daily.
*Knowledgeable on all asphalt plants and dump sites in Southern California.
SKILLS
*Proven work experience as CDL Class A truck driver minimum 3-5 years.
*Work experience in operating heavy asphalt equipment is a plus.
*Willing to work and learn alongside asphalt paving crews when not driving.
*Ability to drive long hours.
*Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
*No recent moving or driving violations
*Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)
*Valid California Class A truck driving license
