This is an LGB Special Edition, complete "G" Scale train set from the late 1980's. The box says "Made in W. Germany." This is from an era when LGB made the finest model trains in the world. They are still in business, but virtually none of their items are made in Germany anymore.

The only thing I see wrong with this set is the "flag" at the end of the conductor's arm is missing. Other than that, this set looks like it was set up one time, run briefly and then put away until now. The loco, passenger cars, track & transformer are just like brand new! The box is showing some wear.
