Rare Antique 1940s-1950s Wood Toy Car/Truck, Dodge Command Vehicle - $40 (Trabuco Canyon)

Maybe a military shore patrol vehicle, or a military fire brigade vehicle of the 1930s -40s. Looks like it might represent the Dodge WC54 Command Vehicle produced for the US military and it's allies.
Found this in a collection of items I purchased, from a WWII Army veteran. Most of the items in this collection were from the 1930s-1950s. Not sure when this was made, but I would guess from the 1940s-1950s. I will leave that to the toy experts to decide.
Measures 9 1/2" long x 4 1/8" wide x 5 7/8" tall.
Vibrant yellow paint is about 80-90% or so (see pictures to make your own judgement). Wheels roll. Some paint loss to wheels. Has 2 stars painted on vehicle and license plate reads "F.B.P.2" (maybe Fire or French Brigade Patrol). Some green paint on the left side of the car that may not be original. Not painted at bottom. Unsure if this is a custom made piece or factory made piece.
This yellow color does seem to be a scarce color for old wood toys and few available in this excellent condition.
Possibly a French made wood toy which command high prices at past auctions.
