Disney's Activity Center: Toy Story PC CD - $5 (Fullerton)

Toy Story fans will have fun with this eight-pack of creativity and logic games, all featuring the playful cast of the animated film. However, underneath the smooth graphics, just two of the activities break new ground in software design. The other activities are lacking in innovation and holding power. Like the movie, the action starts in Andy's bedroom, where clicking on an object will launch an animation or start one of three activities. Our testers' favorite was 5-In-A-Row, a tic-tac-toe strategy game in which players try to outwit the computer by lining up toy soldiers on a grid.
There's a card game that uses negative numbers and an electronic version of Light Brights. Kids can also visit Pizza Planet, where they can view six short clips from the movie, or play two logic games: one like Simon Says and another a cube puzzle that is rather poorly designed. Finally, there's Sid's House, with mind-bending puzzles, a poorly designed sound mixing game and a mix-and-match activity where, like Sid, children can combine parts from different toys.
