This is a vintage “space program” workout device. My father was in the aerospace program his entire career and he received this as a “perk” while working there. He said it was a workout device our astronauts used/use in space.
NOTE: This particular workout device has NEVER been into space! * This workout device works fine! It comes with two wooden dowel handles and two enclosed handles used for foot holds. Resistance mechanism works fine and is adjustable for multiple types of workouts. This one device adjusts to many different types and levels of exercise making it a great portable stress reliever and/or workout device for home or anywhere you travel! Small and lightweight for the benefit it provides!
** Workout device comes with the original base board with a very sturdy hook mounted to the middle for use in an upright position but is not necessary. The board is not necessary to use the resistance mechanism or to use the device. (Board is only to help, but not necessary)!
*** Device is in excellent condition and only used in demonstration situations. Please see the pictures.
