JC Resorts has an exciting opportunity for a customer focused, detail oriented Part Time Spa Coordinator with strong communication and multi-tasking skills. Based at the Surf & Sand Resort, this role is responsible to greet, accommodate and facilitate guest check-in and check-out of spa guests by providing friendly, efficient and effective service.

AQUATERRA SPA - Futures an array of treatments enhanced by the therapeutic properties of natural essences and aromatic botanicals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
To greet guests with proper salutation and a smile and to offer them a tour of the Spa facility.
To accommodate guest needs by booking, confirming or changing appointments, as needed.
To obtain correct guest contact information, including e-mail addresses, and enter it accurately into Spa Soft on a daily basis.
To assess and correct any scheduling conflicts, guest challenges or problems and to refer to the Spa Manager, as needed.
To answer the phone and book appointments and/or relay messages, as needed.
To effectively offer service upgrades and promotions in order to enhance the guest experience.
To have a thorough understanding of all spa treatments as well as their benefits.
To provide current and detailed information about all hotel departments, services and hours of operation.
To keep an accurate cash bank, making changes and handling sales transactions.
To check guests out in a timely, accurate and professional manner, offering to schedule future appointments as well as collecting guest comment cards.
To meet established retail sales goals.
To attend retail sales training and product knowledge as deemed necessary.
To effectively explain and promote all spa services to guests.
To follow all opening and closing procedures as established within department guidelines.
To participate in staff meetings, training and team efforts.
To log in lost and found items in accordance with established lost and found policy.
To understand and respond to all customer needs and requests in a timely and professional manner.
To maintain organization and necessary supplies at Front Desk.
To assist the Spa Department, as needed, to maintain a productive and cohesive work environment.
To follow all policies and procedures of JC Resorts LLC.
To immediately report all suspicious occurrences and hazardous conditions.
To maintain the cleanliness and safety of work areas at all times.
To practice safe work habits at all times, to avoid injury to self and others.
To comply with company and departmental health and safety rules and regulations, including the proper handling of all relevant equipment.
To attend all mandatory meetings as directed.
To perform other tasks, including cross-training, as directed.

JOB KNOWLEDGE & EDUCATIONAL LEVEL: High School diploma or equivalent required. English fluency required. Must have CPR certification. Requires basic math and accounting skills and excellent interpersonal skills. Must be computer literate. Prior experience with property management system preferred. Must display knowledge of currently accepted business telephone etiquette. Must have at least 2 years experience working in a service related industry. Cashier, computer, hotel/spa experience preferred.

SKILLS AND APTITUDES: Detail oriented. Organized and efficient. Learns quickly. Safety-minded. High quality standards for production and service. Diplomatic and calm. Strong verbal communications skills. Courteous, friendly, and professional manner. Good team player. Customer service focus. Able to work productively with little supervision. Trustworthy and reliable. Must be able to work to deadlines.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Works indoors throughout shift in temperature-controlled, clean, and well-lighted office. Bi-level structures.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Stands/walks approximately 30% of shift. Sits at desk or in meetings approximately 90% of shift. Uses personal computer approximately 60-70% of shift. Occasionally required to handle and move objects weighing up to 40 lbs. over short distances. Moderate to heavy use of phones, daily. Frequent use of stairs, daily. Requires extensive reading and computation.
