Chief Estimator – HVAC Test Air Balance & Duct Cleaning

Penn Air Control, Inc. is seeking an HVAC Chief Estimator for HVAC Test Air Balance and Duct Cleaning in our Cypress Office. The ideal candidate ensures consistent profit growth, is organized, dependable, and thrives in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with aggressive deadlines.

Salary: $62,400.00 – $71,000.00 per year (depending on experience) + Benefits & Incentives

JOB SUMMARY: The Chief Estimator will manages Sales and Estimating Department to ensure consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning, deployment and management of sales. Identifies objectives, strategies and action plans to improve short- and long-term sales and earnings. Employee is responsible for ensuring and improving the performance, administrative compliance, productivity, efficiency and profitability of the Estimating Department. In addition to managing administrative staff, introducing and maintaining policies, procedure, and internal controls while working closely with all Estimators. This role is integral in ensuring our Estimating Department operates at the highest level of efficiency possible.

Job Details: PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales/Estimating:

Performs sales/estimates activities on major accounts, GSA and negotiates bids in consultation with the department

Develops new sales and sales support staff

Accurately forecasts annual, quarterly and monthly revenue streams

Interprets short- and long-term effects on sales strategies in operating profit

Coordination and Supervision:

Coordinate, manage and monitor the workings of Estimating departments. Improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support of our company's mission and strategic objectives

Provide leadership and support to administrative and field staff

Ability to: implement process improvements/efficiencies, perform financial analysis, assist with bid preparation, and perform administrative/clerical tasks, and schedule/plan meetings and events

Human Resources:

Work with Human Resource to implement and monitor best practices and assist with employee performance evaluation processes

Assist in the development of strategic plans for operational activity. Implement and manage operational plans. Provide consulting services on matters related to business structure and growth

Requirements /Experience in:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architectural or equivalent.

Sales, marketing, and preparation of regular and special activity reports, operating in a fast paced, dynamic and sometimes pressurized environment, risk management and mitigation delegation, planning, organizing and implementing.

Estimating experience in Commercial, Hospital, Government, Public Work Large Projects (quantity takeoffs, purchasing accounting; engineering design knowledge and project management experience desirable).

Ability to read and understand specifications and drawings

The successful candidate is one who is diplomatic in interpersonal dealings; is professional and personable; a skilled communicator, both written and oral; and a team player.

Strong computer proficiency, specifically in Microsoft Office; Excel.

Travel may be necessary (up to 10%). Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods, walk to and from offices/sites (including ascending and descending stairs)
