A/C Maintenance
Air Conditioning/ Furnace maintenance or tune-up for a single system is typically $109. We are often called out to perform maintenance when the system is not running. The system must run to perform Air Conditioning or Heating Maintenance/Tune-Up. Maintenance will not fix a broken system. You will not be charged more than $109 without first approving any required repairs. Maintenance does not include any materials other than cleaning supplies. If you are low on refrigerant, you will be quoted to bring it back up to the correct levels.

2. Check/Tighten Electrical Connections.
3. Lubricate Moving Parts – If possible.
4. Check and Clear the Condensate Drain Line.
5. Check System Internal Controls.
6. Change or Clean Filter – Does not include the cost of the air filter.
7. Blower Motor – measure amperage and voltage for proper operation.
8. Inspect indoor coil.
9. Inspect the Condenser Coil.
10. Refrigerant – monitor operating pressures.
11. Safety Devices – inspect for proper operation.
12. Electrical Disconnect Box – inspect for proper rating and safe installation.
13. Test/inspect contactors for burned or pitted contacts.
14. Check electrical for exposed wiring.
15. Inspect and test capacitors.
16. Inspect the fan blade.
17. Clean the condenser coil and remove debris.
18. Inspect service valves for proper operation.
19. Measure Supply/Return temperature differential.

The Occupational Safety and Health Standards Board approved on June 20 an indoor heat standard to protect indoor workers from heat illness. The new regulation will require indoor workplaces to be cooled below 87 degrees Fahrenheit if feasible when employees are present, and below 82 degrees if feasible in places where workers wear protective clothing that restricts heat removal or work in high radiant heat areas.
Cal/OSHA is developing an industry-specific regulation for local and state correctional facilities to protect workers from indoor heat hazards. In the interim, for these exempted employers, Cal/OSHA will continue investigating potential indoor heat violations under existing regulations such as the Injury and Illness Prevention Program (Title 8, Section 3203) and Water Supply (Title 8, Section 3363)
