California Coastal Patrol is actively hiring a professional and experienced Security Officer for a residential homeowners association (HOA) community in Placentia, CA. We are looking for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable enforcing community rules while providing excellent customer service.
Position Overview
The Security Officer will be responsible for maintaining the safety and security of the community while enforcing HOA regulations, including parking enforcement and reporting.
Responsibilities
Conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols of the property
Enforce HOA rules, regulations, and governing documents
Perform parking enforcement using an online parking system
Issue warning notices, citations, and coordinate towing of vehicles as needed
Verify permits and safelisting requirements
Write clear, detailed daily activity and incident reports
Monitor for suspicious activity and safety hazards
Provide strong public relations (PR) and customer service to residents and guests
Respond to incidents and emergencies in a professional manner
Requirements
Valid California Guard Card (BSIS required)
Prior security experience required (HOA experience preferred)
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Strong report writing and documentation skills
Ability to understand and enforce HOA rules and regulations
Experience or willingness to learn online parking enforcement systems
Must be able to work weekends and holidays
Excellent communication and interpersonal (PR) skills
Professional appearance and demeanor
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with parking enforcement and towing procedures
Familiarity with patrol/reporting software systems
Previous experience in residential or HOA communities
