I am a minimalist, meaning the only furniture I have is in my bedroom. The common area, including the kitchen and dining room area is for your use and possessions. I do not cook but I use half of the refrigerator and only require use of the microwave. The best roommate situation will be with someone who is clean, respectful, no animals, no cursing or sleepovers. I consider a home a sanctuary where a person can be safe and enjoy the gift of life. I am a 61 1/2 year old woman who enjoys dancing outside at the park (that is my workout), going to Church, and I say hi to my neighbors. I have been sober for 12 years, so a roommate who does not drink would be best. If you have one child, the last roommate was able to make that work.
