I have two College Degrees, I recently passed the first test for getting a law degree. I have several start up business that are not yet profitable. I’m just praying that someone who reads my story, has compassion and understands my situation.
Here is my story
About 20 years ago I received my teaching degree and became a teacher in South. Orange County. My first year of teaching I was named teacher of the year. At this point in my life everything was going great.
During my first year teaching I picked one of my girl students to be my “Teachers Assistant (TA)”. Unfortunately, after a short period of time my 14 year old TA developed a personal crush on me, which is totally unacceptable. I tried to get the lady principal to remove her from my classroom, with no luck. This attempt made my TA mad and very upset. She wanted to get back at me to get even by reporting me to the police, saying I sexually touched her. This was a boldfaced lie, and a terrible thing to have happen to me as it was her word against mine. We tried to hire an attorney to represent me, and they all refused to get involved, saying there is nothing they can do. Generally attorneys and others would not be allowed to interview a 14 year old girl.
The worst day of my life was when I went before a Judge and was found guilty of the charge. My life was ruined and now I had to make a decision. Plead not guilty and do a jury trial. The downside was, if I was found guilty I could possibly receive a 25 year jail sentence. If I were to plead guilty, I would only get a two year sentence. What would anyone do ??
I survived two years in jail, and personally lost everything. My wife and her young son left me as she did not want to wait two years, even though she knew I was innocent. Worst of all, I could not find a good job, as I was labeled a sex offender. To this end, I’m laying everything on the table, hoping someone in South Orange County reads my story, and understands my sad situation. I just need to find a person with compassion, who needs to hire someone with my education and motivation.
Lastly: About 15 years ago I remarried a second time, and now have a 14 year old daughter and a 6 year old son. I am a dedicated Christian man, which gives me HOPE. With God’s help I believe there is the right job for me here in South Orange County.
