Loyalty Funding, Inc is searching for a thorough and experienced Mortgage Document Drawer/Closer. Loyalty Funding is a quickly-growing small business located in Newport Beach.


Skills

The Closer coordinates the preparation and completion of drawing loan documents with time-sensitive deadlines. The ideal candidate requires strong knowledge and understanding of various loan programs and products. The ideal candidate must be able to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced environment with high volume capacity. This position performs other related duties as assigned and reports to the Closing Manager.


Salary: 55,000$ a year.


Requirements

-3 years of document drawing/funding experience
-Encompass Experience
-Prior mortgage industry experience required, including FHA/VA
-Thorough working knowledge of documentation, policies, compliance, and procedures
-Understanding of recent compliance changes
-Demonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages
-Ability to accurately complete detailed financial forms and paperwork
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc
-Have an understanding of mortgage-related terms and types of programs


Job Duties

-Drawing Loan Documents Conventional, FHA and VA loans. (Experience drawing loan documents using Encompass is Preferred)
-Working with the Loan Processors to obtain any missing documentation required to complete the Document Request
-Knowledge of Loan Disclosures is preferred
-Knowledge of how to read a loan disclosure, HUD-1 required
-Knowledge of how to read a Title Commitment/Report preferred
-Review signed loan documents when returned from escrow.
-Excellent communication skills verbal and written are required.
-Individuals with familiarity with Initial Disclosures (RESPA and TILA knowledge)
-Experience with settlement statements, preparing early/initial disclosures, and loan set up
-Reviewing loan documents for accuracy prior to releasing documents for borrower's signature
-Maintaining current knowledge of Policies and Procedures as they relate to documents and funding.
-Prepare all assigned conventional and basic FHA/VA loan documents and escrow instructions. Review the file for conditions and/or instructions from the Processor, review and accurately detail all loan charges and prepare any documents required by the loan for funding.
-Prepare and deliver all files within 24 hours from receipt from processing to escrow. Ensure that escrow receives files with sufficient time to allow customer signing.
-Review all signed documents immediately upon receipt from Escrow. Correct any errors or obtain any missing items to allow the loan to fund.
-Complete the Funder’s portion of the Funding checklist and the TIL checklist.
-Ensure that all funding meets requirements.
-Fund loans and wire monies according to company standards and within the time frames as expected by our customers.
-Coordinate any follow-up conditions as necessary to ensure completion within required time frames. Communicate any delays in satisfying post-funding conditions to management.
-Maintain excellent communication between customers, Loan Officers, Processors, and all other parties involved in each loan transaction. Provide a superior level of customer service to all parties.
-Take the responsibility to ensure that all files are funded within the requirements and expectations of our customers and that all files are complete and accurate.
-Maintain at least a 90% file accuracy rate.
-Demonstrate ongoing Partnership with all co-workers. Help to create a positive team environment. Work to minimize any negative situations or interpersonal conflicts.
-Understand and maintain an awareness of operations and organization, communicating this information to others when appropriate and referring inquiries and correspondence to the proper department or individual. Be familiar with Conventional, FHA and VA permanent loan programs and other products.
-Refer to all products and services at every opportunity.
-All other duties as assigned by the Vice President.
