I built this and used it once , now im selling it. They are 2 seperate frame units with seperate plywood on each, the 2 platforms are attached together with a small metal plate.
You can use both left and right sides and fit a full or queen size mattress , of just use one size for a single size and retain more storage next to it,
I built at this height to accept a milk crate (or many milk crates) underneath for additional storage for supplies.
The way I built this it should fit basically any bed size.
