The safe is fire resistant with a key and combination lock and a heavy-duty hinge and locking bolt system. It is UL certified for fire and impact protection and designed for document storage.
Although we did use this safe to hold documents, we mainly purchased it because we lived in an area where we had our house broken into repeatedly. This totally did the trick!
It no longer has the pull-out file drawer on the bottom, just the empty storage space. It still has seven of the eight key rings shown in the picture. One of the feet comes off and has to be manually put under the safe during placement.
This safe is extremely heavy and cannot be lifted by two men. You will need a dolly and probably a helper of some kind as I am unable to help move it. Available parking is a bit of a ways from my condo as well and involves a long ramp walkway.
Purchased from Costco in 2003 for $200. Selling for $100 firm. Serious buyers only.
