I bought this motor with a shell of another Outback. I had a 2005 outback that was hit and deemed a total loss in December. This motor came with a damaged transmission so I swapped my good motor and transmission as one into the shell of the replacement vehicle instead of separating the two and going through that hassle. This motor was swapped 30 thousand miles ago by the previous owner. The timing belt, water pump, and pulleys were changed at this time as well.
To make this jdm ej20 motor work in place of the ej25, the cam gear, injectors, and flywheel were switched over to make it plug in play.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Or if you have a 2000’s naturally aspirated Subaru with a blown motor you’re trying to get rid of, let me know!
