Spanish American War or later Military Execution Photo. Lot 2 - $120 (Trabuco Canyon)

Unsure of actual date on this photo, but likely late Spanish American War era to early WWI. Perhaps some viewers can help based on the appearance of their uniforms and photo paper.
Shows several soldiers seated on and standing on this poor horse. One man standing appears poised to be hanged. Maybe an actual execution or just some soldiers fooling around taking a mock photo. Decide for yourselves.
I have another photograph listed that appears to have one of the same soldiers (curly haired blonde) that may be a military musician poised sitting in a barrack with a trumpet on his bed.
This was from an estate collection of photos dating from the late 1800s to WWII.
This is one of 2 photographs I am listing that appear to be at/around the same time and place. The other photo I am offering shows some of the same soldiers and the same horse.
