Sonar Inc., a retail restaurant franchisee, is hiring a Payroll Administrator to support payroll processing and HR operations. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented and organized who thrives in a fast-paced environment. This position is 100% on-site at our Orange, CA location.
Payroll
• Process biweekly payroll for multiple entities using ADP Workforce Now
• Audit payroll data (hours, bonuses, deductions, taxes, garnishments) for accuracy
• Resolve payroll issues and respond to employee inquiries
• Ensure compliance with payroll laws and company policies
• Support benefits deductions, payroll reporting, and month-end reconciliation
• Assist with tax filings, W-2s, and year-end payroll processes
HR & Operations
• Maintain employee records and HR documentation
• Coordinate onboarding, I-9 verification, and new hire processes
• Track leaves of absence (FMLA/CFRA)
• Handle employment verifications and unemployment claims
• Support HR compliance and policy communication
• Serve as a point of contact for employee questions
Qualifications
• 2–3 years of payroll experience
• Strong Excel skills (formulas required)
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Knowledge of HR processes and employment laws
• Spanish (preferred)
