Our growing solar company is looking for a reliable and self-motivated Independent Project Manager to oversee and coordinate all project documentation and scheduling from start to finish.
🔧 Responsibilities:
Prepare and manage project documents including HICs (Home Improvement Contracts), permit applications, and PTO (Permission to Operate) submissions
Pull permits and follow up with municipalities to ensure timely approval
Coordinate and schedule installation crews, inspections, and final walkthroughs
Serve as the main point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle
Ensure projects stay on schedule and in compliance with all local and utility regulations
Work closely with internal teams, subcontractors, and inspectors to complete tasks efficiently
✅ Requirements:
Proven experience in solar project management, permitting, or construction coordination
Strong knowledge of solar installation processes, permit requirements, and utility interconnection
Excellent communication and time management skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects at once
Familiarity with local/state building codes and utility PTO processes
Comfortable working as a 1099 contractor
