Project Independence is expanding opportunities for people with disabilities and we are looking for motivated, energetic self-starters to do just that. The role of the Program Specialist is to support our clients out in the community at various activities and volunteer sites providing structure and support to live an independent life. Along with the starting pay of $12.00 per hour, we reimburse for mileage as you drive your car to a variety of volunteer and community activities while supporting and assessing the needs of the people you support, working directly with people with disabilities and being part of their success. Previous behavior experience preferred but not required - experience with people with behaviors, seizures or medical needs a plus also. Other Requirements - current CPR and First Aid training, reliable transportation with ability to fit up to 4 passengers in vehicle with working seat belts, clean driving record, current car insurance, willing to transport client to various sites and/or utilize public transportation, assist with wheelchair and personal needs. Hours - Monday through Friday from 7:00-3:00 or 7:30-3:30 depending on caseload. Ratios are range from 1:1 to 1:4.
Openings throughout Orange County Monday through Friday 7:00-3:00 or 7:30-3:30 depending on opening.
