About us: we are an original country band with an EP and 2 full lengths out. We gig regularly in LA, Long Beach and Orange County. We've toured through Arizona to New Mexico to Texas a few times and England once. Our music would be considered "outlaw country" as opposed to, say, Nashville style. When we do covers in a set they're by Hank Sr., Waylon, Merle, Willie, Ray Price, Wynn Stewart & co. The band consists of singer/acoustic guitar, bass/vocals, drums, lead guitar and pedal steel guitar. We have fiddle and banjo playing friends that sit in occasionally. We don't rehearse very often but when we do it's at the bass player's house in Santa Monica.

Why we need a lead guitarist: Our original guitarist moved out of town. For over a year our record producer has been filling in on lead. He's a stellar player and a good friend, but he's been doing us a continuing favor and has other commitments as well as his own band. Consequently, he's not always available and we don't want to abuse the relationship by insisting that he show up for everything. So, we need someone who wants to join the band as their primary gig.
We play at a very high level. We're also middle-aged and have been doing this a while. Our original and present lead guitarists are phenomenal and have played as pros, so we're looking for someone with similar skills.
We don't care about your age, gender identity or race, as long as you're a killer player (and not a maniac or substance abuser). We don't get paid enough to make a living, but we generally only take paying gigs and split the cash equally. If this sounds interesting, please respond with your name and number and tell us a little about yourself and your goals.
Thanks for reading.
