You are viewing a brand new hardwired replica of a Marshall 50 watt 1976/77 JMP 800 2204. I have built three versions of the 2204 50 watt amps. This 2204 stands second to none! It was made to replicate the very first 1976/77 50 watt 2204's that were built and highly coveted. This is a faithful recreation from the cascaded circuit, to the ST-1 board. This 2204 has all mustard capacitors right down to the ever so rare .68uf that are associated with old Marshall plexi amps. There is even a assembly tag on the chassis. The transformers voltages are period correct with the early JMP 800 from the 70's which have a smoother sound and overdrive then the latter 1981, 1982 - 1983 JCM 800 that came along in the early 80's. There are also taps for 120v, 230v and 240v All the valves are brand new JJ's. The chassis is from Mojo Musical Supply. This means you can order the cabinet from them directly and have it "any color, or configuration you like" such as a small box head in fawn or black, or a 1x12, 2x12. Again this amplifier is the chassis only.
Marshall will never make the same amplifier. And people are asking close to $3000 for old modified, beat up modified JCM's from the 80's. And that's for the horizontal input jack version from 1984-1986 which are not even the same circuit as the old 2204's. The price is $2500 cash and will "not be negotiated". This also means no trades as well. Thank you
