Up for sale is a beautiful and rare 1985 Gibson SG Standard "Lefty" left handed in excellent condition and perfect working order. It was just given a pro set up so it plays amazingly with low action and the original Tarback humbucking pickups really sound awesome! Most don't realize that these have the rare mid '80s side guitar chord jack plug. And with the original blue velvet interior case. Also one of the last Gibson SG's made with the slightly larger headstock of the '70s - mid '80s headstock shape. No Trades. Price Firm: $3,499.

Cosmetically, it’s insanely clean and has been well taken care of over the years. It just looks like it hasn’t been played much. For a 40 year old guitar, there are a handful of tiny marks scattered around and some light scratches in the clear coat from handling, impossible to photograph. Also, there’s hardly any fret wear. You’d be hard pressed to find a cleaner example of a 1985 SG Standard, let alone a left-handed example. These just don’t come up for sale very often. See pics for condition.

To the best of my knowledge, it appears to be all original. The serial number and CTS tone pots date to 1985. The Tarback pickups and CTS volume pots date to 1984. (Which Gibson was transitioning pots at the time, so some were different mixed.) Comes with the original Chainsaw hardshell case which is also in near mint condition.
