Great sounding rickenbacher Bakelite lap steel, only getting rid of it because I need to pay bills and I already have one haha. Pros: String through body, 1.5 inch pickup (essentially this is what you want, no excuses here in terms of tone). Cons: tuners aren’t in the best shape (one replaced tuner, 1 crumbling but still functional tuner button, and 3 replaced buttons, I would probably look for a 4 replacement tuners if I were to keep it but it seems stable and functions well as of now), slightly crackling tone pot although it it very functional and I personally find it a non issue, one screw by the controls is lightly stripped so I wasn’t able to open it up and see if the pots and cap are original, I would be able to get it it open if I really wanted to but I didn’t care enough to push it. There it is! Great sounding early 1940s lap steel currently set up with Scotty’s c6 strings. Oh and also I shimmed the pickup with some paper just to get it off the strings. Again, this is the model you want if you’re looking for an old Bakelite lap steel! I compared it to my other model which has the 1.25 pickup and this one has a fatter tone with more sustain. Ask if you have any questions!
