“The Conn Strobotuner Model ST-8 is a classic, tube-based electro-mechanical strobe tuner from the 1950s and 1960s, designed for extremely accurate tuning of musical instruments, pianos, and organs. It was developed by C.G. Conn as a portable, more compact version of their earlier, larger Stroboconn units.
Conn produced the ST-8 Strobotuner, a vacuum tube-based, portable, high-accuracy tuner, primarily throughout the 1960s, with some models appearing in the late 1950s. It was a smaller, portable alternative to the Stroboconn used by technicians before the release of the solid-state ST-11.
