King Conga 11.5" diameter head, 30" tall with LP hardware. Get the best of both brands...the best sounding fiberglass conga ever made with the best, most reliable hardware. I recently mounted a new natural rawhide head and it sounds awesome. It has a resonant open tone and crisp slap with very little ring to it. When I played it with my friend, it made his LP original conga sound dead. In sparkling deep purple. Only $500 for this rare gem.
Here's some info from Google:
King Conga was a legendary, Fremont, California-based percussion company. Founded in the late 1960s by musician Cirilo "Mitch" Basas and Ray McGinnis, they were among the very first to successfully produce fiberglass congas. Only about 2,000 were ever made, making these rare drums highly sought-after collector's items. "King Conga" is also associated with the Afro-Cuban jazz classic track by Latin percussionist Willie Bobo.
