This is a 1984 Hamer Scarab Electric Bass Guitar just like Rick Savage of Def Leppard played. It has been modified with EMG Active pickups. It has 2 volume knobs and one tone. The neck is straight and the action is low. There are a few dings. One on the back of the neck and a few in the edge of the body as shown in my photos. At one point, it had a drop D bass tuning key. That is why there is an additional screw hole. It’s hard to tell, but possibly it may have been refinished at one point. The only reason I say that is because the serial number does not read through the finish very easily. Unfortunately, I do not know the history prior to purchasing. But I have had the bass in my possession for about 20 years. It was used in my Def Leppard tribute band, PYROMANIA. Comes with the original Hamer hardshell case. Which has had a latch replaced and has lots of dings in the Tolex.
