Completely original, no modifications of any kind. These were some of the very first J-Cutom guitars ever built, some of which were brought into the US to be sold by their dealers. There were two finishes in this run, Pearl and Brown Sunburst. My documentation and general research indicate there were no more than 50 built, 25 in each finish, or there were only 12 or 13 of each finish, for a total of 25, as my tag from the original dealer shows 1/25.
Details are S3040BS, whereby the S is the model series, 3040 is the model number, BS stands for Brown Sunburst. This instrument is in collector/investor grade condition, I've played it very lightly over the last 19 years since purchasing it in August 2006. There is no fret wear or hardware oxidation. I'm a collector/player and this guitar to me being so cool was more of a collector's piece. Very balanced and comfortable over your shoulder, fast neck. I liked the rounded horns on these guitars compared to the pointy horned models from Ibanez, as the neck combined with the pointy body reminded me of the God Neptune's trident spear. LOL
The entire specification details appear in the pictures for the listing
There is a seller's listing on Reverb currently, whereby the seller was originally asking $8700, now $5400 as of 09/27/25 as I checked today, for a S3040PL, which is the Pearl version.
OHSC, case candy, and lots of documentation included
You can inspect and try out the guitar before you purchase
I've got some other gear to get as my hobby evolves, so it's time to let go of something that can help me recycle some cash.
The only trades I would be interested in would be for a pro pair of powered studio monitors, either near or mid field, that are within the general value of my instrument.
