For sale is my lightly used, never gigged, partscaster tele. It comes with the following specs:
Body:
Mark Jenny (MJT) lightly relic’d late ‘50s, early ‘60s vintage white body. It has a few dings and light checking in it. It’s a really gorgeous body. It is swamp ash with a nitro finish. It weighs less than 4 lbs. It has a white 5 screw pickguard.
The entire finished guitar weighs only 7 lbs.
Hardware:
Genuine Fender pat pending chrome tele bridge, with steel saddles. It is through the neck only. It’s the only hardware on the guitar that I didn’t age myself. It can be taken and done with the mureatic acid thing, but I only did that with the saddles, tuners, screws, control plate, neck plate, knurled knobs, strap hooks and output jack.
The tuners are Fender road worn, and the output jack is the screw in one that will accept right angle cord ends.
The neck is an All Parts TRO, with 21 frets, maple neck with rosewood fingerboard. It has the 10” radius. It was finished with nitro (and aged) by a guy in South Carolina. I forgot his name now, but the neck is quite comfortable to play. The back of the neck was roughed up to a satin feel.
It has the spaghetti water mark on it. BUT THIS IS NOT A FENDER GUITAR. THIS IS A PARTSCASTER.
Electronics:
Neck pickup: Cavalier pickups Lion neck pickup with chrome cover. It is a fantastic pickup, and there are many online videos and sound clips to show you.
Bridge pickup:
It is a fatpups blackguard. That’s another fantastic pickup with many sound samples online.
The pots are CTS 250k, and the capacitor is the .22 orange drop. The switch is the old style 3 way. No PC board. It has a white tophat switch cover.
No case or gig bag. Guitar only.
Overall, this guitar plays like a dream. I have recorded some sounds with it, but have to transfer them to my computer. I can send mp3s if you are interested. The strings are old, but it still sounds fantastic.
This is a great sounding guitar, but I just have too many Teles.
I’d maybe consider a trade for a high quality MIJ Les Paul (set neck, long tenon).
Local sale, and cash only. You’re welcome to come play it plugged in first. I have a small SS Fender amp, or you can bring your own.
