Job Summary:
Cannabis company in OC is seeking a dedicated and experienced Manufacturing/Cleaning Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing processes, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Manufacturing Associate will be responsible for operating machinery, assembling products, and ensuring that production goals are met while maintaining a high standard of safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate Machinery: Set up, operate, and maintain manufacturing equipment according to safety and quality standards.
Product Assembly: Assemble components or products according to work instructions, blueprints, and specifications.
Quality Control: Inspect products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards. Report any discrepancies or issues to the supervisor.
Production Goals: Meet or exceed production targets while maintaining efficiency and minimizing waste.
Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Participate in safety training and report any safety concerns.
Material Handling: Manage and transport materials or products within the production area, ensuring proper inventory management.
Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting and implementing process improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production activities, including work orders, inventory usage, and equipment maintenance logs.
Collaboration: Work closely with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth production flow and address any issues that arise.
Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery, and assist with troubleshooting and repairs as needed.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating manufacturing equipment and understanding of production processes.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy.
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
Teamwork: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Safety Awareness: Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following all safety guidelines.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in manufacturing is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with production, packing and shipping.
Work Environment:
This position is in a manufacturing environment where safety gear such as safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots may be required.
