We’re Hiring: Fire Extinguisher Shop Technician
CAT Fire Equipment is hiring mechanically minded shop technicians to service, rebuild, and inspect fire extinguishers—life-saving equipment used across California.
This is hands-on, physical work with a clear path to become a California State Licensed Fire Extinguisher Technician. No experience required—we’ll train you. What we need is reliability, focus, and commitment.

You’re coachable, respectful, and ready to learn.
You understand this is physical, shop-based work and are comfortable lifting 25 lbs.
What You’ll Do:
Inspect, service, and rebuild fire extinguishers in our licensed shop.
Follow safety protocols and inspection checklists exactly.
Keep your work area clean and your logs accurate.
Study for and pass the CAL FIRE License Exam (required within your first 90 days).
What You Bring:
Willingness to learn and follow procedures.
Strong attendance and punctuality (non-negotiable).
Mechanical aptitude or comfort with tools (any experience helps).
A serious interest in building a long-term trade career.
What You Get:
$18–$25/hr based on progress and licensing.
Consistent weekday schedule: Mon–Fri, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
Paid training + licensing support (exam fee reimbursed once you pass).
