Selling my 2008 Honda CRF450R, a genuinely special year for this model. This was the final carbureted CRF450R before Honda redesigned the platform for fuel injection in 2009, and it's widely regarded by the Honda faithful as one of the best 450s Honda ever built.
What it needs:
Carburetor needs work (cleaning/rebuild)
General maintenance/TLC (fluids, filter, once-over)
Otherwise mostly stock, no major mods
What's good:
2008-only features: HPSD steering damper, stronger clutch basket, three-map ignition, and the last of Honda's most-refined 41mm Keihin FCR carbureted engine
Bones are solid — this is a carb-and-maintenance project, not a rebuild
Title status:
No title — I've owned it 10+ years, purchased without one originally out of state. Selling with a bill of sale. Cash buyers comfortable with this arrangement only, please — priced to reflect it.
Why this year matters:
Serious Honda/motocross people know the '08 CRF450 by reputation — it's the model enthusiasts still chase used. If you know dirt bikes, you know why this one's worth a look even needing a little work.
