Music is fun, and all too often piano lessons focus on procedures and formalities that discourage young and new students. As opposed to learning to play classical music for recitals and learning for tests, I aim to ingrain the foundations of music theory and instill a passion for all music right from the beginning. Piano is the best instrument to begin your journey in playing music in any instrument you'd like!

My name is Toby and I'm teaching piano lessons at my house. I just graduated UC San Diego this spring and have been playing piano for 14 years. I have a classical background in Piano but am self-taught in Jazz and music theory, so I am very flexible with anything a student would like to learn.
