I am a senior physics student at CSU Fullerton who has been tutoring SAT for 5 years.
What sets me apart from other SAT tutors is that I am myself actively studying to get that 1600 on the SAT. Above are my recent scores and I plan on taking the May test as well. Keeping up to date with the real test is key in being able to teach the SAT.
I have worked at test prep academies for 8 years teaching every level of math, SAT, and ACT. Sometimes classrooms may not be the right place to learn for your child. A private tutor can target only the topics that your child needs to learn, in a pace that is personalized for him or her.
My program consists of 2-3 meetings per week: 1 test day (3 hours), 1 review day (2-3 hours), and 1 optional lesson day (1-2 hours). I am very flexible depending on the student's needs. This weekly process would repeat until we have mastered every topic, ranging from 4-10 weeks depending on his/her base knowledge.
My time is limited and I take helping my students very seriously. I am seeking students who are dedicated to getting their best score on the SAT. This will include showing up to each meeting, actively asking questions (lots of questions!), doing the homework, and independent work! I know this sounds like a lot, but once you see your scores improving things will become fun.
Please don't hesitate to call, text, or e-mail me with any questions.
