My name is Jonathan Scruggs and I'm the owner of The Moving Company. My goal is to take some of the stress out of moving and provide you with a quick and safe move. We make sure to take care of everything we move. We use moving blankets and plastic wrap to make sure items are not damaged or scratched. We work quickly so that you are not paying more than you need to for your move. I started this company in January 2023 as a way to pay the bills, experiment with starting my own company, and help people who are in need of a trustworthy mover. I previously have three years previous experience working for a moving company. I am working towards owning my own truck but I currently rent trucks (such as a Uhual) in order to complete most moves. I do own a pickup truck with a 6 ft bed that I use if you only need to move one item such as a couch, table, or dresser. Labor:
2 Movers: $70/hour
3 Movers: $105/hour
There is a two hour minimum which means the minimum charged is $140 for labor only.
We charge a flat rate for a truck. $100-$125 if the locations are 1-15 miles from each other. $150-$250 if further.
I have a pickup truck. Any furniture relocation only requiring a pickup truck is only charged the two hour minimum of $140.
