I'm looking for an easy going and trustworthy finish carpenter to help me make prehung doors, dutch doors, barn doors, custom tables and other projects (See example pics) as ordered by my customers. I operate a lumber, doors and tables business.
I am looking for somebody who is honest and dependable and has the skills and shop / tools necessary to make a quality product at as fair a price as possible (again for cash). And as I only speak English, I need you to speak good English as well.
I have projects stacking up and need to find another finish carpenter to work with now or soon. This is Not a job position as you are self-employed making items and I would pay you for the items by the piece / item. And this could be short term or long term.
Another benefit in working with me is my customer base occasionally wants to have these delivered & installed, and/or other materials that I sell professionally installed or need other work done, which I would then refer you to them (and I don't take commissions)... I prefer to have you think big (volume, rather than 1 project) and price my work lower instead of taking a cut from the sold referrals. This has paid well to other carpenters.
Here's the deal, it's pretty simple : If this sounds like something you are seriously interested in, please TEXT me to address each of the following questions any experienced carpenter can answer :
1) your Name,
2) your experience and qualifications,
3) a labor-only price to make 2 (not 3) wood barn doors 48 x 96 x 1.5" based on the example photo #1 with ...and I provide the lumber (cabinet plywood and poplar). Shaker design in front and smooth back.
4) Provide a labor-only price to make a single 36 x 80 Dutch door with glass upper based on the example photo #2 (and I provide the poplar lumber, glass and hinges
5) an approximate labor-only price to make a simple Lumber table at 36 x 72, 30" high (see photo #3), and I provide the pine lumber. And a seperate labor only add cost to make a pair (2) matching benches shown.
These would be an introductory price to see how you perform and work out.
6) your hourly rate do any miscellaneous work for me at your shop.
My operation is in Santa Ana.
