Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Returns Associate to join our dynamic warehouse operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the return process efficiently, ensuring accurate processing of returned goods, and maintaining seamless communication with customers and internal departments. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of warehouse management systems and logistics. Responsibilities
Receive and inspect returned merchandise, verifying condition and accuracy against return documentation
Process returns using warehouse management systems and inventory management software
Coordinate with shipping & receiving teams to load and unload returned items safely
Update inventory records accurately through data entry and ERP systems such as AS400 or similar platforms
Manage stock replenishment, stocking, and order picking for returned goods
Assist in packaging, labeling, and preparing items for resale or disposal according to trade compliance standards
Utilize RF scanners, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and forklifts to handle goods efficiently within the warehouse
Support shipping logistics by preparing return shipments for outbound delivery when necessary
Maintain detailed records of all returns, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations when applicable
Collaborate with customer service teams to resolve return-related inquiries promptly
Ensure adherence to warehouse operations protocols, safety standards, and quality control procedures
Requirements
Prior experience in warehouse operations, distribution centers, or logistics environments
Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, and ERP platforms such as AS400 or MRP systems
Strong knowledge of shipping & receiving processes, order fulfillment, and pick & pack procedures
Ability to operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners safely
Basic math skills for inventory counts and data accuracy
Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail in data entry and record keeping
Effective communication skills for interacting with team members and customers
Knowledge of international trade regulations and trade compliance standards is a plus
