About the Role: We are seeking a reliable, part-time Groundskeeper/Janitorial Worker to keep our commercial property clean, safe, and in good repair
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone local to Garden Grove who takes pride in maintaining buildings and grounds. You’ll perform daily janitorial duties, light maintenance, and be on-site during weekend events to assist as needed. Please speak English fluently.
Key Responsibilities: (include but not limited to)
Janitorial Cleaning: Daily cleaning of common areas (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, restroom sanitization) to keep the facility presentable and hygienic.
Ensure outdoor walkways and parking areas are free of debris.
Light Maintenance: Perform minor repairs and upkeep tasks. Examples: replace light bulbs, tighten loose fixtures, touch-up paint, unclog minor drain issues, etc. (basic handyman duties)
Report any larger maintenance or safety issues to management.
Event Support (Weekends): Serve as on-site support during occasional weekend events (e.g. tenant gatherings or rentals). Duties include opening/closing the facility, setting up tables or chairs, managing trash during events, and quickly responding to any cleanup or minor fix-it needs during the event. Ensure that after events, the property is cleaned and reset.
Groundskeeping: Light landscaping care such as watering plants, picking up litter outside, and ensuring the outdoor areas remain safe, clean, and attractive
Coordinate with landscaping contractors if any major outdoor work is needed.
Schedule: Approximately 15–20 hours per week. Core hours are flexible for cleaning/maintenance (e.g. mornings or evenings on weekdays), plus coverage during scheduled weekend events (typically a few hours on Saturdays or Sundays as needed).
We will provide an event calendar in advance. Candidates must have weekend availability.
Required Qualifications:
Language & Communication: Must be fluent in English – able to read/write and follow instructions, and communicate clearly with property managers and tenants
Since you’ll interact with event staff and occasionally the public, strong communication and a friendly demeanor are important.
Experience: Prior janitorial, custodial, or maintenance experience is preferred. Proven ability to work independently to keep a facility clean and tackle minor repairs. Handyman skills are a big plus.
Reliability: Strong work ethic and dependability are a must. Candidates should ideally live in or near Garden Grove. You must have reliable transportation to commute to the property for early morning or evening shifts and on weekends

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift ~30-50 lbs (e.g. moving tables or trash bags), and perform physical tasks like bending, squatting, and being on your feet throughout the shift.
Other: Must be at least 18 with valid work authorization. Willingness to undergo a background check. Basic handy-person knowledge (using tools, ladders safely, operating cleaning equipment) required. A valid driver’s license is helpful for any occasional errands or supply runs.
