We are seeking a dedicated Traffic Control Flagger to join our construction and roadway safety team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for directing vehicular and pedestrian traffic around construction zones, ensuring safety and smooth flow of traffic. Set up and operate traffic control devices such as signs, cones, and barriers to guide traffic safely around construction sites
Communicate clearly with drivers, pedestrians, and team members using hand signals or radios
Monitor traffic flow and adjust control measures as needed to prevent congestion or accidents
Follow established safety protocols and procedures at all times
Assist with the installation and removal of temporary traffic control equipment
Report any unsafe conditions or incidents promptly to supervisors
Support other construction activities by providing logistical assistance when required
Requirements
Prior experience in construction site operations or traffic control preferred
Knowledge of traffic control standards and safety regulations
Ability to operate basic heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, or graders is a plus
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks
Valid certification in traffic control or flagging (or willingness to obtain training)
Familiarity with utility locating and heavy equipment operation such as backhoes, dump trucks, or front loader trucks is advantageous
Basic understanding of construction processes including paving, grading, and site preparation
