RARE Hamilton, circa 1906, private label E. E. Knerr, size 18s, gold-filled pocket watch. This antique American pocket watch is a private label Hamilton made for E. E. Knerr in Shelby, Nebraska, making it very collectible. It has a red, five-minute track, a seconds subdial, and bold Roman numerals. The movement is fusee verge for accuracy, features beautiful damaskeening, and has 17 jewels. The movement's serial number is 485404 and is marked "E. E. Knerr, Shelby, Neb." "17 Jewels". The case was manufactured by Philidelphia Watch Case Co.. in approximately circa 1900 and the serial number is (contact info removed). The white porcelain dial reads "E. E. Knerr". The gold case is marked "Philidelphia Watch Case Co." "Guaranteed Twenty Years", and has a crown hallmark. This pocket watch case has beautiful engraving detail, including flowers, scallops, and intricate filigree engraved throughout. It is a notably beautiful case with superb, crisp engraving. The cartouche is blank, allowing you to add your own initials. The movement is running at time of evaluation without detailed testing; future state not guaranteed. This pocket watch is in overall excellent conditon, with only one dimple on the back of the case. The bow is tight, the pumpkin crown shows no wear, and the crystal is in excellent condition with only one small blemish near the edge.
