Antique American pocket watch made by Hamilton Watch Co.. Features a Hamilton label swing-out case which reads "Hamilton Watch Co." "Guaranteed 25 Years" and is numbered (see photo #7). Typical gold-filled cases read "Guaranteed 20 Years" which means this case is a higher grade gold-filled case of a higher quality, with a more substantial gold layer than cases with shorter guarantees. The movement has 17jewels, the size is 16s, and it is an open face configuration. The movement is numbered 1386846. The dial reads "Hamilton" and is double-sunk which is an added feature found on higher-grade pocket watches and considered a mark of quality and craftsmanship. This pocket watch is in exceptional condition. Weight is approximately three ounces (gross weight of assembled watch), diameter of dial is approximately 1-5/8", diameter of case frame is approximately 2", and the watchcase height, inclusive of the bow, is approximately 2-5/8". Fully serviced. The movement is running at time of evaluation; future state not guaranteed.
