According to the California Contractors State License Board, as of December 30th, 2024, any project $1,000 or less (labor and materials) does not require a contractor’s license.
I am not a licensed contractor and do not claim to be one. I do, however, have experience working with multiple licensed contractors and am in the process of earning my own contractor’s license.
I will not perform any projects over $1,000 until I have secured my license. If your project will exceed $1,000 (labor and materials), you will need to contact a licensed contractor to complete it.
