Here is a 1964 IBM Model C electric typewriter that was purchased new by the FMC corporation. I purchased it ca. 1980 from the employee's family that bought it from FMC when they retired. It does not work due to a on/off switch that broke, and/or other unknown reasons. I had it cleaned/serviced about 5 years ago by Gary's Typewriter repairs in Long Beach. It worked well until last year when the on/off switch broke. I noticed a switch on Ebay some months ago, but I have enough projects to last me until 2087. I switched to my SCM manual and haven't got around to fixing after a year. So I've decided to say good-bye to my old and reliable friend. NB: It was always covered. Have a look, and walk away with it for $15.
