Made by the Solar Electric Manufacturing Company in San Francisco in the 1920s, electric hot comb heater along with 3 different combs. The longest comb is made by Marcel in Germany. The one with black handles has no manufacturer marked on it. The wooden handle ones (which also fold up) say MADE IN USA on them only.
The Solar heater itself still works well and heats up.

Similar one found at the Smithsonian African American museum as well...
