Hello, I am a 26 year old female and I was looking to maybe start a weight loss accountability group. I fell like I am stuck in a rut where I am weight wise and I feel like having some other females (males too maybe) who are in the same boat as me to work with would help me get over the plateau so to speak.

I have never really organized anything like this before, so I am just going to put some ideas down and if anyone else feels like they are in the same spot as me, I would love to hear some suggestions of what you would look for in a weight loss support group. I really hate the idea of an "overeater's anonymous" style group because I don't think I am at a point where I find I am powerless over food, and I don't like the "religious-y" aspect to it. I tried looking for other alternatives in my area, but never could find anything that had people in my age group or were as casual of a group that I was looking for. Here were some things I had in mind when I thought of this idea.
-Mostly chat-room based (there are great free chat rooms out there like Slack) where we would have some organized meetings where we would share our struggles and maybe some tips we found that were good for keeping on track, also to share encouragement and also to document our progress (if you are uncomfortable with doing lb updates, that is understandable)
-Weekly goals that can either be weight based or just activity based in general, so that we all can motivate each other to move more and keep on track
-Possible in-person meetups in the area (I live in Orange, so obviously people in this area could go to these meet ups easily) where we could do activities like little exercises or hikes, nothing excessive, just something fun to get outside and moving around a lot.
This is really all I have, I am just looking for buddies in the same age group as me who maybe have the same weight loss goals as me, to keep each other motivated so we can finally get to our goal weights. I would ask some of my closer friends to do this with me, but either they don't need to lose weight or they don't want to lose weight if they are overweight. I don't care if you are female or male, but I probably would want people around my age (like 20s to mid 30s) and also people who are a bit overweight like me. I definitely have at least 40-50lbs I would like to lose, so if you are in that boat message me and even if we can't get a whole group started, maybe we can just buddy up and motivate each other. Just message me with your name and the area you are in and maybe we can work something out.
