Heliconia Rostrata is a beautiful tropical plant that produces gorgeous tropical flowers. It will instantly make any backyard tropical. They can be grown anywhere that doesn’t get frost. I have two types of this Heliconia. I have Rostrata and Dwarf Rostrata. Rostrata will grow to 6-9 feet and then produce a flower that is 1-2 feet long. Dwarf Rostrata will grow to 3-6 feet tall and then produce a flower that is about a foot long. Dwarf Rostrata is a more vigorous grower and is supposed to be more cold hardy.
