Elegant and finely crafted teak wood inlay a lady’s dowry box
Inspired by the late Mughal period of British India (circa 1825)
Estimated from the 90s
In excellent condition, with no missing inlay or damage
The exterior is lavishly inlaid on the top and all sides in the style of a symmetrical Mughal garden
The interior also has very elegant inlay depicting trees and delicate flora, as well as a rack to hold paper and envelopes
A teak wood dowel neatly holds the bride’s bangles for easy storage, display and retrieval
Secret compartments below to hold precious jewelry
