1 piece of petrified wood is polished/tumbled, the rest are rough.
These were part of a collection of stones/petrified wood that my grandfather used to cut, polish and make jewelry with.
I think he used these back in the 1960s when he retired and moved to Arizona, but continued to trade and work with some of the Native American silver smiths in Arizona and Nevada. He hand made a variety of bracelets, earings, pendants, rings, bolo ties, and belt buckles in sterling silver.
